A by-product of natural gas processing and crude oil refining, propane’s supply is plentiful and will continue to be in the 21st century with almost all of our supply produced domestically.

Since most of propane’s pollutants are safely removed during processing, as a gas it burns cleanly – so cleanly that it can be used indoors without special ventilation. As a liquid, if unintentionally released, it vaporizes into a gas and therefore does not contaminate the environment.
